Links for Local Renting/borrowing/selling/giving

  • Borrowing Circle - creating a local lending-and-borrowing community. (Some things, even farther than local -- see their FAQ's.)
  • craigslist - should need no intro. Nationwide buying/selling network, concentrating on local buyers and sellers.

  • Recycler's World was established to promote the trade of scrap & waste materials.
  • rentalic is perhaps the most formal of all the lending/renting sites I've visited. They have a comprehensive rental policy, and charge a service fee for completed transactions.
  • TOOLZDO is a wide-ranging community bulletin board. They list community resources, neighbors and what they're into, community discussions, and free stuff.

Other Local Links

Some Governmental Links -- oversight etc.
